A memorable afternoon

Last friday night not many of you came to class. As I had told you several weeks ago, I wanted to go somewhere and watch at least one of the World Cup Games with you. I am sure that some of you had forgotten my proposal, so on friday I reminded you of that dream I had. Once again those who showed up on friday were invited to join me at the UASD Club(Teacher's Club)on Malecon, to watch the final match between Spain and Holland. I arrived at the Club almost at 2:00 in the afternoon with my wife, my sister and children. At first, I felt bad because even though there were a lot of people at the Club, my students had not arrived. The game had already started, and as I watched the TV screen I also looked at the door to see if someone from class came in. I decided to open my wine and started sipping slowly, suddenly I saw Carlos in the middle of the room looking for someone he knew. We sat together and started talking and of course, sipping. Later, Kelvin joined us. By that time I was having a wonderful meal with my family, which consisted of crab, rice, beans, pork chops, salad, and fritos verdes etc. That's whwn Jenssi arrived. Later, Reinys and Ivonne joined us. While Jennsi enjoyed her pear juice, because she confessed she is a night drinker (she only drinks alcohol at night) Carlos, Kelvin and I drank red wine. Soon the red wine was gone and Carlos offered a big bottle of white wine. We suffered a lot because the game was tied 0-0, and spain had many opportunities to score. With 90 minutes over the game went extra time. Everybody was mad about Holland players because they were pushing and playing dirty and none of them were thrown out of the game. Finally, Spain scored one and we all went crazy because that's how they won. Spain became champion in the Succer World Cup. The game was over, I felt happy because some of my students shared with me and my family. We joked, we drank, we ate, we had fun, we suffered to see Spain trying to win. For me it was awesome guys!!!
