Baseball

Since we started I'm excited.

I love the issue that we are working, the baseball is part of our history in Dominican Republic, I didn´t know anything about Japanese baseball, but know I know something about japanese baseball.

For me baseball is an interesting sport but for others it is not interesting and I respect their decisions. Japanese play baseball since 1873, and Dominicans starting in the 1880 few years before. The player  you can see in this picture is Juan Marichal.

Uff, now I'm in the blog. It's very important to anyone not to give up, to go on until we get whát was planned.

j-ball

 Hello  class , the topic of inglesh class this week is j- ball, so I can not say too much abaut it because I dont know the game but if japanese   love this game like dominican love base ball is an  great way  to  pass time in japan .

J-BALL

Hello My name is Elvis Moneró from the section 323, I have to tell something, I really enjoyed last class, I think its very interesting thing to make and upload some important information here.

The first time I heard about J-BALL, I was in blank, I don't know what that means, so, I made some search about it and I found the J BALL refer to Baseball, but J BALL is a Japaneses famous game.-

I was looking for more information and I got this:
There is a museum when rest all clothes and Jball things created to make it work the game at that time,  Include it name of the knownests players, their History, their souls, what they went through to go where they want to be. and the creator of this crazy thing that it had took place all over the world.

Horace Wilson introduced baseball to Japan sometime between 1867 and 1873 in the early Meiji Era. Wilson was a professor at Kaisei Gakko (now Tokyo University). In 1873 Albert Bates, an American teaching at Kaitaku University organized the first game. The first Japanese baseball team, the Shinbashi Athletic Club Athletics were organized in 1878 by railway engineer Hiroshi Hiraoka, an ardent Boston Red Sox fan from his days as a student in the United States, organizes the first Japanese baseball team, the Shinbashi Athletic Club Athletics. On May 23, 1896, on the site of what would become Yokohama Peace Stadium and later [[Yokohama Stadium]], the first international game of baseball was played in the country. The Ichiko team of First High School of Tokyo defeated an American team from the Yokohama Country and Athletic Club, 29 to 4. Poet Masaoka Shiki<! --Last name first, pre-Meiji--> is created with translating many baseball terms into Japanese and helping to popularize the sport.

Aztec Ball Game

The Aztec ball game was actually a revision of an ancient Mesoamerican game that was played by many peoples including the Mayans. It may have originated with the ancient Olmec civilization. It became a very important part of the Aztec Empire, not just as entertainment, but for political and religious reasons as well.

Let me ask you this - if you move into a new home, what do you do first? Put up a special picture? Plug in the stereo? When the Aztecs started a new settlement, there were two things they would do. First, build a shrine to the god Huitzilopochtli, and then build a ball court next to it. In Tenochtitlan it was surrounded by the palace and temple. The Aztec ball game, known as ullamaliztli, was a priority.

The Aztec ball game had a distinctive court known as the tlachtli or tlachco. The ball court was usually in the shape of an I, although there were some variations. Around the court was a slope, surrounded at the outer edge by walls about 8-11 feet high. The court was usually between 100 and 200 feet long, with a centre line, and six markers along the sloping walls. At centre court against the walls were two stone-carved rings, roughly 35 inches in diameter, often ornately carved in the form of an animal.

Surrounding the court were areas for spectators, nobles and judges. The structure would often include skull racks (tzompantli). These had a base with upright wood posts. Bars ran from post to post, adorned with the skulls of sacrifice victims. Sometimes the walls would show reliefs of thewinners and losers of the past.

Hi everybody: 
When I saw the word Jball, I want to know what  the meaning was it?,  but I never imagined that was related with Baseball. I don´t like baseball eventhout it is the most important sport in the Dominican Republic.

Latins in J-Ball

  Many professional Japanese Baseball players have played in Dominican Winter Baseball League and vice versa. A total of 23 Latins played in last year Japanese Baseball League where the Domincan Tony Blanco was the most outstanding player among them. Most of the Latin Baseball players playing in J-Ball are Venezuelans and Domincans, there are also a few Puerto Ricans and others, but never as good as us, that's why people all over the world come to our country and watch us playing because if we are not the best Baseball players who have ever existed, we are among them.
