Beisball is one of the watched and played sports in the world . the original name of the game was Townball

in 1869 was organized the  firrst professional's baseball team. When baseball was introduced to Japam, first it was played  in schools as a way to create stronger minds and bodies. Many Latin American countries like : Cuba , The Dominican Republic , and Venezuela ;  their have strong baseball traditions and have contributed many player to the major leagues in the  United States.

baseball has also taken root in East Asia ; in Korea., Taiwan, and, Baseball  has been  part of the Japanese landscape since 1872 . MIKAMI GORO was the first Japanese baseball player to play on a professional team in the United States. In 1990s Los Angeles Dodgers ( United Nations ) recruited players from many countries.  

 MY OWN OPINION ABOUT BASEBALL

Baseball in the Dominican Republic is the national sport that identify us in the world, it doesn't matter race , social condition , religion , etc. Dominican enjoy watching baseball game.

In our country, baseball is formed in 1951, it forms for 6 teams; the principal themes are: Águilas Cibaeñas, Estrellas Orientales, Gigantes de Cibao, Leones Del Escogidos, Tigres Del Licey, and Toros de Este. The most recent champions were Tigres Del Licey.

I don't like baseball so I don't know how is the game. I haven`t seen a baseball game, maybe because in my house we are women and we watch news, entertainment program, soap opera, movies, etc.. Trere is a man but he is not a fan of baseball.
