Smart cars

The design concept for Smart cars began in the late 1980's. The Smart cars began with Nicolás Hayek, the man who invented Swatch watches. He wanted to make a small car that would be fuel efficient, environmentally responsible and easy to park in small spaces. The first smart car was created in 1994 and it went on sale in 1998 but Hayek was dissapointed with the use of a conventional engine. He wanted a hybrid or pure electric motor and the price of car which was higher than expected. There's also a project of Google related to Smart cars. The car's arrival marks the next stage in Google's self-driving car project which was born from the DARPA Grand Challenger for robotic vehicles in the early 2000's. It is the first truly driverless electric car prototype built by Google to test the next stage of it's five-year old self-driving car project.

Mastering the Law of Gravity is an interesting reading. It is mainly about the stuntman, martial art choreographer, and film director named Yuen Wo-Ping. This personage is described as a Chinese veteran with an experience of more than fifty movies. Many famous action stars, as Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, and Jet Li were helped by Yuen Wo-Ping to be catapulted to international fame by his train of acrobatic flying, fighting, and jumping off walls. Yuen is highly respect by the quality of the swordsmanship in his films. He achieved his first directing credit in 1978 on the martial art film Shake in the Eagle's Shadow. The more recently Wo-Ping Yuen's work as an action choreography is Hong Kong Cinema have included Kun Fu Hustle(2004), Fearless(2006), The Forbidden Kingdom(2008), Ninja Assassin(2009), True Legend(2010). Yuen Ping said ¨I fell I'am old-fashioned¨, Wo-Ping Yuen adds, ¨So Whenever I can, I prefer to shoot Kung Fu scenes for real and use traditional wire work to enhance the actions in the movie. Yet the same time, special effects and visual effects can definetely enrich and help the portrayal of Kun-Fu and the power it envolves. I really enjoyed this lesson, because it remind me of a Korean series I saw once.

There was a girl who was a stunt woman, that was her passion. She dreamed of becoming a Professional stunt woman, and she was training to do so.

During the process of her preparation, she met a very wealthy man who fell in love with her. Since she was very poor, her dreams of becoming a Professional stunt woman were not so close, because she didn't have the reasources to continue paying for her studies. The man who was completely in love with her, found out about the situation and helped her with the money issue she was going through. That way she was finally able to make her dreams come true.

When she finished her studies, her boyfriend, yes, because they were now dating, helped her to get a part in a very important movie. She was very happy to be doing what she loves.

Even though the series had a lot of action scenes, the plot of the story was very interesting and catchy. That tv series has changed my perspective about action movies and series.

yuen wo ping is considered the world´s foremost action

yuen won the hong kong film award for action choreography for once upon a time in china II in 1992. he achieved wide recognition for action choreography in the science fiction blockbuster the matrix 1999 staring keanu  reeves.

yuen is also admired for the quality of the swordmanship in his films.his style of sword fighting is based in part on the japanese martial art kendo(the way of the sword), which in turn is based on the samurai style of combat with swords. 

Yuen went on to work with such figures as Sammo Hung in Magnificent Butcher (1979), Yuen Biao in Dreadnaught (1981), Donnie Yen in Iron Monkey (1993), and Jet Li andMichelle Yeoh in Tai Chi Master (1993), and Wing Chun (1994).

Yuen's works, particularly his action choreography on Fist of Legend (1994), attracted the attention of the Wachowskis, who hired him as the martial arts choreographer on The Matrix (1999). The success of this collaboration, plus his action choreography on the following year's hit Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, made him a highly sought after figure inHollywood. He went on to work on the Matrix sequels and Kill Bill (2003).

More recent action choreography duties in Hong Kong cinema have included Kung Fu Hustle (2004), starring Stephen Chow, and Fearless (2006), starring Jet Li.

Yuen also choreographed the action sequences in The Forbidden Kingdom (2008), a Hollywood martial arts–adventure film, which was the first film to star together two of the best-known names in the martial arts film genre, Jackie Chan and Jet Li. He worked as a fight choreography consultant on Ninja Assassin (2009).

In late 2010, Yuen released his first film as director since 1996, True Legend, starring Vincent Zhao and Jay Chou.

the name game

many companies find difficult get a catchy names for their products. name is something important for many reasons such as, how the brand is atractted by people that is a worthy marketing tool, choose a straightforward names that allow people to memorize the products.

some companies are mainly identified by initials, some of them are international business machines called IBM, and kentucky fried chicken KFC. some firms create names by morpheme construction first shortening and then fusing parts  of the company´s full name. that makes to save much money in painting in fact it is more catchy.

choosing good names become more difficult when a firms market internationally, because you have to investigate carefully the meaning of the name if that could be offensive in other languages or gaffe meaning.

Lesson 5 - Smart Cars.

Some people see the smart cars like something far,far away!.. but i think it is not.
obviously, in the dominican republic we are not prepared for that,because we have a lot of taboos about technology, i mean at this time,in 21 century we have professors that think the internet is a trash or for stupid people. 

In some countries have been launched smart cars,what it's cool that a car give you a ride and you don't have to drive. and if you are missed, the car shows you the exact location and ask to you: what do you want to do? and you choose if you want to back home or continue your traveling.
unfortunately, at the launch moment they are too expensive,so it's just for rich people,but the truth is and for sure, we will have our smart cars.

J-ball (missing post)

Well to be honest with you, i started to learn about J-ball in this class, because i always have known about american baseball and dominican baseball of course,and sometimes heard about the japanese baseball,but that's played in the other part of the world i mean it's so far of here,maybe if you don't have internet or Tv Cable, you can't get access to this sport. However in my opinion, in japan have born the most talented players in the world, not just in baseball,also in wrestling and other sports.
consequently, the coaches of the other countries traveling to Japan to recruit fresh talent.
