SMART CARS -Hector Gomez-

Hi guys

Recently we are hearing about intelligence. Smart cellphones, TVs, watches, bagpacks, but nothing like SMART CARS. If asked, i would say, hey I dont know how can this happen because, how can a car be smart. Well, cars are not smart as such, because of they need a mechanical part wich is essential to speed or break, I mean the average cars today have more computing power than before and, more innovations are waited.

I´ve surfed on the web and found smart cars, but one of the most popular en famous is the Smart Fortwo wich is a smart electric drive car with a rear engine and two seater car created by smart GmBH. It was introduced at Paris Motor show in 1998 as a smart city vehicle and right now it is in its second generation. Actually, the name is exact matched to its seating arrangement and capacity. Being an electric version car, it was introduces in the year 2007 and nearly, 2000 II nd generation electric cars were manufactured in between the years 2009 to 2012.

It is amazing to know that there already exist car with those characteristics. However, more than having electrical parts, a smart car must have other atractions. For example:

An electric car that can gauge its own battery life, by telling you where to find a charge station.
Full Android integration in vehicles from Audi, Honda, Hyundai, GM, BMW, and others. With Apple’s hands already in Ford, BMW, and several other brands, Google’s response to work the Android OS first into Audi came at this year’s CES. These cars will not only sync with your smartphone, but also upgrade their native software as needed.
Speaking of upgrades, an updated, predictive cruise control in Mercedes-Benz vehicles could, according to IBN, “adapt a vehicle’s engine revs and gear to suit the gradient of a slope.” Satellite maps are evolving, and Benz is working on vehicles that could upgrade themselves with their maps to make cruise control even easier.
Driverless cars. It seemed far-fetched in science fiction, but at CES this year, Delphi Automotive PLC, a provider of auto parts and technology to major manufacturers including Ford, GM, and Volvo, showed off a scenario that would include “autonomous driving lanes,” where smart cars could go on autopilot.
After reading all this info i just can say. I need a smart car!!!
