"Algo completamente nue-vo y distintivamente americano". Así les ha llamado The New York Times.

La dignidad, el orgullo y el entendimiento entre culturas, etnias y razas diversas, parece ser el sino de la banda Los Cenzontles, fundada en California en 1989, que ha ido dejando una huella en la necesidad de refrescar las tradiciones chicanas en las nuevas generaciones.

Así, son capaces de fusionar instrumentos tradicionales como la jarana, vihuela, el requinto, el pandero y la quijada con la sonoridad actual del bajo eléctrico, los drums y par de voces portentosas. Esto le ha ganado una nominación a los Grammy Awards.

Terrence Simien y The Zydeco Experience fueron ganadores de un Grammy Award durante la 50 entrega, con un disco que resumió 25 años de trabajo.

El género Zydeco es uno de los más típicos de los Estados Unidos, específicamente del sureste, con raíces en los ritmos franceses que trajeron los galos que se establecieron al sur de Luisiana.

Sería interesante poder admirar un encuentro entre el acordeonista Terrence Simien, ganador de Grammy junto a su grupo The Zydeco Experience, con el dominicano El Prodigio.

La base musical del Zydeco es el acordeón y el "frottoir", o guayo y muchas de las canciones son interpretadas en francés, mezcladas con el rock, el reggae y otros sonidos. La voz de Terrence Simien se ha comparado con Aaron Neville y Sam Cooke.

WHILE RIDING HIS HORSE ,HE NOTICED THIS BEAUTIFUL WOMAN STANDING BY THE SIDE OF THE ROAD .MY GRANDFATHER IS KNOWN FOR HIS PASSION FOR WOMEN THAT IS THE REASON WHY HE OFFERED THE WOMAN A RIDE RIGHT AWAY AND THE LADY ACCEPTED .SHE JUMPED ON THE BACK OF GRANDPA HORSE HE WAS TALKING TO HER ALONG THE WAY AND FURTHER WHEN THEY ARRIVED TO A DISTANCE CLOSE FROM THE TOWN ,MY GRAND FATHER STOPPED HEARING HER VOICE, SO WHEN HE LOOKED BACK HE DID NOT SEE HER ANYMORE ,AFTER THAT WHEN HE GOT HOME HE STARTED TO FILL SICK WITH A HIGH FEVER. Yuen Wo-Ping was born in 1945 in Guangzhan,China. He was a very choreographer and his great intelligence led him to the world of large bone to the world of celebrities. I think in our country there are many talented men and perhaps with the same characteristics of this great talent. Today we know that it is very difficult us to reach the goal and achieve our purpose. But with a little effort we can achieve. We only lack the attitude and desire to excel. Our path is full of hardship and many difficulties, though our efforts and our will to live can overcome these evils.

Ithink urban legend are false stories. In our country are very popular,as some people believe in them. Such mothers to their children telling them to eat all the good eaten, because if they did the cuckoo was going to eat and firghtened children tended to finish all their food for de cuckoo's not supposed to eat. The Ciguapa, the Cuckoo, and the cow are very mentioned here. I for one believe that these legends will go away as time goes on.

if i ever think of starting my own business, i´d definitely establish
a bingo house because i´m sure everyone likes to gamble and besides
that when people retire from work because of age, they receive a pension
and when they stay at home for too long, they get bored and one of the things
they´d love to do is to play bingo because it relaxes and takes their problems away.

the most important thing is how the money is invested so if i had enough money
to start the bingo house i´d start inviting the professor Atilano and the whole
class to gamble because i´m sure the professor is well-paid and there are many

guys to lose your underwears but the idea of gambling is something that the human

ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2011: NEW WAVES, NEW WAYS IN ELT.

Good afternnon classmates.

Last week, the teacher, Rose, Jhonatan, David, and I had the opportunity to attend the ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2011, this conference was titled NEW WAVES, NEW WAYS IN ELT. The first day, Thursday 23rd it took place at Melia Hotel, over there were exposed three plenaries, the first one was: MORE THAN LANGUAGE: REDEFINING ESOL AND LEARNING IN THE 21st CENTURY by Brian Long, the second one was: ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING METHODS: WHAT'S NEW UNDER THE SUN? by Donna M. Brinton, and the last one was: TEACHING ENGLISH IS A LOT MORE THAN JUST TEACHING LANGUAGE by Idolina Camargo.

On friday 24th were exposed the other lectures at Dominico Americano Institute, that day we had the privilege to chose two of many of them. In the first session Rose and I decided to attend the lecture: I CAN'T USE ENGLISH IN THE CLASSROOM-MY STUDENTS DON'T SPEAK ENGLISH by Donna Brinton, and for the second one we attend: 10 PRACTICAL RULES FOR THE EFL PRIMARY CLASSROOM by George Kokolas.

The last one was my favorite, I really enjoyed it, and learned new things.

This is a brief report about those two days we last in the conferences, we meet new and known people, we share knowledges and ideas. It was way amazing.

During this week all of you will see pictures and more informations about the lectures and in spite of we are planning to make a presentation to transmit the awareness we acquired among those interesting days.

DIABETES

When the teacher said that he had diabetes, I wanted to know obout it.and it was that I found.

Now, I understand your affiction, but don’t worry keep doing all  that is convenient for you and believe in god.  I know that  he can do everything.

Diabetes is a disorder of metabolism, the process that converts the food we eat into energy. Insulin is the most important factor in this process. During digestion food is broken down to create glucose, the main source of fuel for the body. This glucose enters the bloodstream, where insulin allowed to enter the cells. (Insulin is a hormone secreted by the pancreas, a large gland behind the stomach).

Which problem can have the person:

the pancreas does not produce or produces too little insulin or
the body's cells do not respond to the insulin that is produced .

 there are twoTypes of Diabetes
main types of diabetes. Type I, insulin dependent, sometimes called juvenile diabetes because it usually bigins childhood although it can occur in adults. Because the body does not produce insulin, people with type I diabetes must inject insulin to live. Less than 10% of those affected by diabetes have type I.

In type II, rising in adults, the body produces insulin, but either does not produce enough or can not exploit it produces. Insulin can not escort the glucose into cells. Type II usually occurred mainly in people from the age of forty.

The pilot proyect of English teaching

It is a program the is use to teach differet sujects in English. It started in 2005. This program started with 30 schools around the country. In the classroom a teacher works with an assigtant teacher. Students start in this program from kinder to four grade. They learn Math, English,P.E,and Art. Everything have to be teach in English. These kids stay four years with the same English teacher. Teachers are trainning every years.In the trainning teachers learn new trayedies, and studies English methods. Also, teachers share experiences. Parents are very happy because their sons sing in English at home, and conut in English. It a great progrant, but we dont have final support to keep the program.

Enjoyaable Activities

Many enjoyable activities in this area are inexpensive or even free.Here in Cotui are some activities that are enyoyable and you dont have to pay nothing. For example,going to the park. In the park you can sit, and talk to a friend, and while you are talking if you want you can buy an ice cream. Besides, you can listen to a free comsert that is it show every sunday. There you can take your children to run. Another activity is the baseball game. Intanse, you can sit on the bechs and buy a soda or aa beer if you like to drink while you are waching the game you caan talk to a friend and make some jokes about the baseball players.

Nowadays, many families are suffering a common problem, the alchol problem. Many men from diferent families are involve in alcholic problems. This problems help family not to have money for medicines, foods, and other thing that humans need to be alive.

With this problem fathers are killing their wifes, when man get drunk is a real problem, the father hits his dauther, wife.This create a big problem because when the son is there he tries to hit his father making a disater in the family.

According to this situation, the family is getting apart.For exanple, the father gets away with another women . Sometime the wife stays away of the house, and the dauther too.

The family is suffering in other word is having a dificult situation. The family is getting sick of diferent diseases, and are getting poorest. To get out of alcholic there are several ways. For example, to visit a doctor, a phycologist.Remember the best helper is god, and he always ready for us.
