Transportation in Dominican Republic

MOTOCONCHO: is a way toget around locally. Cost can go from twenty to thirty.














Guaguas voladoras:are the most popular form of dominican transportation.The drivers assistant and some people will be hanging out of a window or side door.







Public cars: in Santo Domingo these cars will have either a green or yellow top and will work on alternate day of the week.
















Metro: the new form of transportation in Santo Domigo is the metro.the Santo Domingo metro trains run from 6a.m. to 10 p.m . A ride cost twenty pesos for one way trip.


Taken the ride from the first stop in villa mella called Mamá Tingo to the last in La Feria

  3. I think that everybody smile when see this pictures but are part of the reality people who dont have a car (like me)have to pass many problems in the street, is worst if is raining.

  4. All these pictures represent the true and sad reality of our country, because now the metro is the better way of transportation but in the past it was a big problem, not only for its cost but for the increase in taxes.

    Now, nobody remember the incease from 12 percent to 16 percent in taxes.
