I'm going to speak  about   baseball specially  dominican baseball and its history.

baseball is one of the most widley, watched and played sports in the world

baseball is the sport number one in dominican republic ,we simply  call baseball  ''ball and it is the spor that generates all kinds of passion regardlessof fan's social status sex or age if anyone want to check jus visit a stadium,we live this sport in our blood. dominican repulic today  has some of the best  baseball player in the mayor league .
history

there are diferent opinions on the date baseball in the dominican republic, there are version that say it was introduced  in the country  by the cuban brothers ignacio and ubaldo aloman in  september 1886 at san pedro de macoris .Other version say  that it began betwen the years 1884 and 1886
 regardless wich version is true ,one thing is clear is that the sport took off in 1916 during the firs intervention n the country.

the firs bbroacast of adominica baseball took place on october 1917 in la vega

in  1928  the first baseball game betwen licey and escogido was broacast by  radio station hijk
region.

the first national baseball tournament was organized in 1936 with the licey ,escogido,estrella orientales and  sandino teams. the sandino teams subsequently changed  its name to aguilas cibaenas.

the  profesional teams that currently participate in the winter tournament are.

Tigres de licey . founded in 1907.

Aguilas cibaeña.  cibao eagles* founded in 1936

LEones del escogido. foundedin 1921

Azucareros del este (EASTERN Sugarworker) founded in 1983

GIgantes del Cibao(cibao giants) founded in 1996.
